This is the base coat stage where the plywood deck has been completely sealed with resin reinforced with fibre glass matting.
Look carefully and you’ll see rooflights, parapets, internal gutter, soil vent pipe and hot water overflow all moulded with Permadeck.
The final finish has now been applied
The bad timbers were removed and replaced with new and the area treated with both wet and dry rot preservative. Another problem solved without drama.
The corner of this roof was rotten because the seams had been patched. You can see tape and a grey sealant on the seams. Treating onto the top of a burst seam rarely works.
(Tip: never patch a felt roof, you’ll trap moisture IN and cause ROT to start. Then things get REALLY expensive)
